Greetings! I am Denise Carley. You can find me teaching 8th grade homeroom and upper grades science. Lab supplies, projects, and books fill my classroom, they love to be used by the students. You can find me right in the middle of it! I have been at CLS since the summer of 2000.
My late husband, Tim, and I moved here from Morton, Illinois. Before teaching at Bethel in Morton, I graduated from Concordia, Seward. I grew up in western Iowa. Tim and I have two sons, Seth and Steven. I enjoy being in this family oriented community and have been amazed with the support from my church and school community. I am now married to John and have a daughter, Izzy. Izzy is at UNI, Seth will be graduating from Benton and will attend ISU, and Steven will be a junior at Benton. I enjoy reading, and family activities such as attending sporting events, watching sports on TV, and hiking.
My favorite Bible verse is John 11:25; “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”
