Hi! I’m Frank Parris, Principal/Admission Director at Central. I’ve been here four years, but in the ministry for over 30 years.
I was born in Davenport, IA, but grew up and attended public school in Eldora from Kindergarten-12th grade, graduating from Eldora-New Providence High School in 1985. I attended my mother’s alma mater, Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska. I graduated in December 1989 with my Lutheran Teachers Diploma as well as a Bachelor of Science in Education. Then in 1996 earned my Masters in Elementary Administration from Concordia, Seward. My first Call was to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church/School in Latimer, IA. From there, I’ve served in ministry in Wisconsin (7 years), Kansas (4 years), Springfield, IL (7 years), Hoyleton, IL (6 years), and North Carolina (2 years). I’ve served as classroom teacher, Principal, athletic director, coach, and the other Lutheran School position – other duties as assigned!
I was married for 23 years and was blessed with four sons (the 4D’s). They range in age from 24-34. All of them live in Illinois. My two oldest are married and blessed me with two daughters-in-law and grandchildren, 1 girl and 2 boys.
In my freetime, I enjoy walking, traveling, reading, golfing, and trips to see my grandchildren.
My favorite Bible verse is my confirmation verse: Psalm 27:1, The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
